I found this on Spector's. I'm not sure how signing a 37-year-old out of retirement will help them. I'm surprised they didn't sign a back up goalie like the Avs although there is still some time left. Irbe and Defoe come to mind.

I heard Ferguson on the FAN590 in Toronto. The guy has not played at all this year and Quinn doesn't know when he will be in game shape.

Have they forgotten the Phil Housley experiment last year? Quinn gave up 2 picks for him even though he was injured. He played one regular season game and was awful in the playoffs and benched after game 2.
This is the kind of deal you make when you don't have the depth to get a younger, better player like deVries.
