I picked the stars in 6. The biggest reason being i think that turco will outshine abescheir (sp?)

The Dallas Stars are on the rise, the Colorado Avalanche have been on the decline. Both need their goalies to shine, and both have two very good lines that can dominate a game.
It will be too much to ask to totally shut down Forsberg, Hejduk and Tanguay ...... And it will be hard to shut down Guerin, Arnott, and Morrow.
After that it becomes a Modano vs Sakic series.
But I like the grit in Dallas and will say Dallas in 7.

Dallas is a sleeper because of Turco. More grit in their forwards. Granato can not coach and must have pictures of Lacroix with a sheep. Avs out in 6 and it looks good on them.

as much as I'd like Dallas to win, I'll go with the Avs in 6. I just can't go against Sakic and Forsberg this early in the playoffs.

Turco is my Vezina favourite and that played the last third of the season as good as any team. Colorado looked like a Cup Favourite in pre-season, but not any more. Stars in 6.

Aebischer is playing extremely well. He was the first star in the Game 4 win in double OT. Colorado was outshot 14-3 in the third period and 14-6 in the OT's.... Dallas got stung like the Habs did in Game 4.

Congratulations to the one poster that picked the Avs in 5.
They beat Dallas 5-1 to eliminate the Stars.

I gave the edge to the Stars because of goaltending. Looks like Aebischer out-dueled Turco.
