Since i live on the west coast, i must admit that i am heavily cheering for the local boys. Looks like without bertuzzi they've learned how to play a great team defensive system.
The canucks are my #2 Canadian team.

Same here, but Edmonton is a close third for me - I'm not sure who I want to win between them tonight.

Ever since I was a kid, the Canucks have been by second favourite team and not much has changed since.
They're a fast skating, hard hitting team that plays hockey the Canadian way.
(whoa, do I sound like Don Cherry or what?)
So after the Habs, it's definitely Van City.

Gotta go with my hometown Sens. It'll be a real shame if we're forced to knock them out in the first round this year.

Vancouver would be my second favourite with Edmonton close behind and Calgary not far behind that! I hate the Leafs! They're my worst team! I don't like the Sens much either!

I went with Ottawa. I like their style of play and admire the way they built their team.
However they are putting in a poor account of themselves tonight. WIth first place on the line they haven't shown up. They are down 5-0.

I'm hoping for an overtime win by either team. If Edmonton wins in OT and Nashville and Colorado tie, then the Canucks finish 3rd overall and the Oilers make it. If Vancouver wins in OT and Nashville loses, same result.

Living in Calgary, I've really become enamoured with the way the Flames play. If Kiprusoff continues to stand on his head, they're my bet for the 'sleeper' team of the Playoffs.

Canucks with the Flames right behind, although I do flip-flop every 3 or so years.

Jets still (cheer for Phoenix -- a team that continues the Winnipeg tradition of being crappy). Tied with Ottawa. Was at the . . . well, the called it a game tonight. Pretty pathetic effort. Sens going nowhere if they don't get the 'tending.

In descending order:
Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton.
I wouldn't cheer for Toronto if they were playing a combo 1972 Soviet mens'/2002 U.S.A. womens' hockey team.

Second Team?
The Habs are the ONLY team I care about... when their season ends, so does mine!
Come on boys... I wanna watch until April

I voted for Quebec just for laughs.
When the HNIC 2nd game is on, I favour whoever is playing, when it's between Canadian teams, I tend to favour VAN or EDM, for some reason I've always disliked Calgary. Maybe it goes back to seeing Val Bure do so well with them.
Tonight I was for EDM, since I wanted them in the playoffs; the HNIC crew were terribly pro-VAN, which to me is a shame - even a VAN fan would understand if they gave a bit of a bias to the team trying to make the playoffs rather than one with some position joustling going on.

I've always said theres no such thing as second favorite, habs all the way! But, if I had a choice of who would win it if the Habs couldn't I think Calgary deserves it this year, especially Iginla. And also Bring back the JETS!

Team Canada, but I didn't see them listed. I put them ahead of Quebec and Winnipeg. Whoever is playing Toronto is third.

Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary. I have no problem with the Western teams, so they are tied for 2nd.
I do not have a soft spot for any team in the Eastern Conference. Cheering for Toronto is not an option...ever!

I like all western teams because they don't play the Habs in the playoffs unless it's the final ;D 1-Edmonton 2-Vancouver 3-Calgary When the Habs are eliminated I usually cheer for the Sens....the only way I cheer for the Leafs it's if they are the only team remaining in Canada....only because of canadian pride

Maybe it goes back to seeing Val Bure do so well with them. I dislike the Flames also, but I think this has a lot to do with them winning a Stanley Cup at our expense and MacDonald's moustache image stuck in my mind. The Nordiques used to be my 2nd favorite team, but I hate the Avalanche. I'm still irked over the Sens defeating us in their first ever game. I don't care for the Canucks or their cheesy uniforms. The Oilers are my 2nd favorite team now. Oh...and I HATE THE LEAFS! Edit: I couldn't cheer for the Leafs to save my own life.

I voted for Quebec just for laughs. I hated Dale Hunter and Louis Slegher, but you know something? I always liked the Nordiques. Favourite players in no particular order: - Marc Tardif
- Rejean Houle
- Serge Bernier
- J.C. Tremblay
- Réal Cloutier
- Michel Goulet
- The Stastnys
And it goes on and on. This was a team that took out the Central Red Army 6-2 when the Habs could only muster a 3-3 tie (still my fave game of all time by far). There was a lot of history that went with them when the Nords went south. Though I don't blame Marcel Aubut. If I had a chance to make US $72-odd-million from a CDN $12-million-dollar investment I would probably have done the same. Third team; the Winnipeg Jets and all those Swedes. But, that's another post. Cheers
