That might put him out of Montreal's price range if they were considering making him an offer.
Looks like he about the same size as Ryder and has the same kind of shot.
We have to keep in mind that he is also the same age as Ryder. Lessard's accomplishments occured in college hockey while Ryder put up his numbers in the NHL.

I had never heard of this guy until tonight. It looks like he took an interesting road to the NHL. He didn't even start university until age 20 but has made improvement each season and really exploded this year. He will turn 24 next month. www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid%5B%5D=54881I caught Bob Mckenzie talking about him tonight. He said Lessard was generating interest from a lot of teams including Montreal. He also mentioned that it would be a long shot to see him in the playoffs.

Beat me too it ;D! I wonder if BG was even close to a deal. Lessard is an interesting prospect. I wouldn't think his contract would be that rich. The kid is non-drafted free agent. They rarely sign for big bucks. What I don't understand is why someone didn't draft the kid last season. At the very least a late pick would have been warranted. If he has Ryder's game with tad more speed look out.
