Not only can one hear howls from Montréal:

Montrealers might have assumed much of North America would have heard die-hard and not-so-die-hard Habs fans whooping it up Monday night - and Tuesday morning - after their heroes beat the Bruins and advanced to the next round of the never-ending NHL playoffs. Such was the cacophony of their car-horns and beery fans.
After all, Montrealers had reason to live again. That's because Montrealers believe the Stanley Cup is theirs by divine right and because it's been way too long - 11 years - since the last one. That's because, for reasons only mental-health-professionals can best explain, Montrealers seem to realize themselves through the exploits of their Canadiens.
So forgive them their euphoria, no matter how seemingly misguided.
But for the record, Montrealers would have assumed wrong about others hearing their revelry. Why, just 500 kilometres to the west of here, the only chants they can hear are: "Eddddd-eeeee!!! Eddddd-eeeee!!" That would be Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Ed Belfour.
- can we talk
*
One can also hear jeers from the Centre of the Known Universe:
Confusion reigns with Bob, Harry
Call on penalty was icing on mistakes
CHRIS ZELKOVICH
Maybe it's the fog of war, or at least the hockey version of it.
Bob Cole and Harry Neale, the superannuated duo designated the CBC's lead crew for the NHL playoffs, picked up last night where they left off the last series: In a state of confusion. In the state of Pennsylvania, too.
The game between the Maple Leafs and Flyers was barely a minute old when Bob and Harry did their version of Abbott and Costello's classic "Who's On First?" routine. Theirs, which has played throughout the playoffs, is called, "Who's Got The Penalty?"
- the entire schtick
