HELSINKI (CP) - Miikka Kiprusoff, Ville Nieminen and Toni Lydman of the Calgary Flames were among 25 players named to Finland's team for the World Cup of Hockey on Tuesday. Montreal Canadiens captain Saku Koivu, Sami Salo and Jarkko Ruutu of the Vancouver Canucks and Aki Berg of the Toronto Maple Leafs also were selected. Raimo Summanen is head coach and Hockey Hall of Fame member Jari Kurri and Erkka Westerlund are the assistants. Kiprusoff, San Jose Sharks backup Vesa Toskala and Atlanta Thrashers prospect Kari Lehtonen are the three goaltenders. Lehtonen spent most of last season in the AHL and was picked ahead of the more experienced Jani Hurme of the Thrashers and Mika Noronen of the Buffalo Sabres. Joining Lydman, Salo and Berg on defence are Teppo Numminen of the Dallas Stars, Joni Pitkanen of the Philadelphia Flyers, Kimmo Timonen of the Nashville Predators and Ossi Vaananen of the Colorado Avalanche. Joining Nieminen, Koivu and Ruutu up front are Teemu Selanne and Riku Hahl of the Avalanche, Florida Panthers captain Olli Jokinen, Tuomo Ruutu of the Chicago Blackhawks, Antti Laaksonen of the Minnesota Wild, Sami Kapanen of the Flyers, Jere Lehtinen and Niko Kapanen of the Stars and Esa Pirnes of the Los Angeles Kings. The team also includes forwards Ville Peltonen, Mikko Eloranto and Jukka Hentunen, who played on European teams this year. - Finland roster
