6-1 Czech Republic.
So nice to not see the Sundin grin. Tellqvist's play, to me, wasn't indicative that he'll be a capable successor to Belfour any time soon. Then again, the Swedes were flat and porous today, and left him at the Czech's mercy quite often.
Swedish fans booed them off at the end of the second period. And after it was 4-0 it was a recurring chorus.
EDIT: Brian Burke in first intermission U.S.-Russia quarter-final, paraphrased: Sweden played like a team who has no confidence in their goaltending. I'm not saying that's the only reason--they were flat too--but when you don't have that confidence in your goaltending, it crushes your offense.
Kelly Hrudey agreed: That goal by Straka, right through the middle, the 5-hole, that has to be stopped at this level.

Too bad Don Cherry isn't a habsRUS poster! Haven't you read HA's posts carefully? Can you not see that checkered jacket behind those quips?
