Anyone watching this on CBC? Or better yet - anyone try out for it over the summer?
I saw the first couple of episodes on the weekend, it seems like Canadian Idol on skates.
There were lots of guys trying out for the heck of it, either hadn't played in years or were just plain awful.
It appears that most of the people to make it to the final 68 are ex major junior players. Some have even been to pro camps. It kind of looses my interest when the majority of these guys are really looking for a second shot. It would be a lot more interesting to see people who had never really pursued a hockey career up to this point.
