All 1,230 Regular Season Video Games To Be Played Starting October 16. The NHL lock out may have postponed the 2004-2005 season, but disappointed hockey fans can still watch the puck drop in more than 50 million U.S. and Canadian homes when the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning face off against the Philadelphia Flyers in the season opener of the video game NHL season on G4techTV. The hard-hitting action begins with highlights, scores and stats, airing daily on the network's sports program "Sweat," premiering October 16 at 3 pm ET (12 noon PT) along with special segments airing during the Screen Savers. G4techTV is the only 24-hour television network devoted to games, gear, gadgets and gigabytes. "Millions of die-hard hockey fans on both sides of the border are upset," comments Charles Hirschhorn, "Commissioner" of G4techTV. "Until the lock out ends, G4techTV will be there." All 1,230 regular season games originally slated for the 2004-2005 NHL season will be played, with results of each video game match-up available to fans who tune-in daily to "Sweat." Up-to-the-minute scores, stats, teams and player profiles will be online at www.g4techtv.com. Virtual sports competitions are increasingly popular, recently seen by the success of the 2004 EA Sports Madden Challenge broadcast on G4techTV. Tune in daily to "Sweat" for the latest hockey news only on G4techTV. - www.g4techtv.ca/canada/story/2004hockey/* Jack in. Skilly would like how the Habs logo is larger than the Sens logo.

Skilly would like how the Habs logo is larger than the Sens logo. WE won didn't we? Even in virtual land jinxes hold true.

The season thus far:Montreal Canadiens: 10-6-7-0, 27 Ottawa Senators: 9-9-3-1, 22 Buffalo Sabres: 7-9-5-2, 21 Boston Bruins: 8-11-3-0, 19 Toronto Maple Leafs: 8-11-2-1, 19 The Sens have acquired JeffO"Neill and Peter Forsberg. The Leafs have done nothing. The Habs traded Koivu and Markov for Daigle and Marc Chouinard. The Habs traded Buturlin and Plekanec for Chad Painchaud and Michael Vannelli. There is no record of when Gainey was fired for making these great trades.

The Habs traded Buturlin and Plekanec for Chad Painchaud and Michael Vannelli. What? We couldn't bring Gino ("Black Cars") back from LA? Shameful.
