By Leith Dunick tb sourceWeb Posted: 11/12/2004 10:03:58 AM Manhattanville College’s Billy Foulds, left, and B.J. Greaves have spent the past two months learning from one of hockey’s best, free agent forward Alexei Kovalev Alexei Kovalev has spent much of his career with Jaromir Jagr or Mario Lemieux at his side, but with the NHL season in doubt, the 10-year veteran is just looking to stay in shape as he waits for the impasse to end. B.J. Greaves and Billy Foulds hope it never does. The Northwestern Ontario natives are in their second and third years respectively with the NCAA Division III Manhattanville Valiants, and, much to their surprise, found themselves practicing alongside Kovalev and former NHLer Sergei Nemchinov for much of the past two months. “Kovalev has been absolutely amazing to have out skating with us,” said Greaves, a Nipigon native who played with the Thunder Bay Flyers in 1999-2000 before moving on to the Sioux-City Muskateers. “He’s taught us so much in the last month-and-a-half.”<br> - www.tbsource.com/tbSports/index.asp?cid=71239
