Citing lack of motivation & lingering physical problems, Salo has called it quits. He had a good minor league career - I can remember him winning at least one Turner Cup in the IHL - and also had international success. Unfortunately, the most recent memory of Salo may be that strange goal allowed against Belarus several years ago. Here is the link: tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?ID=118659&hubName=nhl

A decent goalie with a longer career than most. Unfortunately for him his name will forever be associated with the "Belarus Blooper." Maybe Souray circling behind his net and whispering "Belarus" into his ear was the straw that broke the goalie's back. That and getting bounced out of the playoffs. - www.hockeygoalies.org/bio/salo.html

Get Lapointe tossed out of the game and Thornton to fall over the boards at the Bruins bench and do himself an injury.

I hope not. The thought of the Habs facing Toivonen isn't too appealing to me.
