Robinson replacing Burns on Devils' bench
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Hall of Famer Larry Robinson will replace Pat Burns as head coach of the New Jersey Devils this season, the team announced Thursday.

Robinson returns to the position he held from 2000-2002, as he led the Devils to their second of three Stanley Cups in the spring of 2000.

Burns will miss the upcoming season because of a recurrence of cancer.

This isn't a surprise. When I heard that Burns had another bout with cancer, I thought Larry would be the coach, no contest.
