A poster named Sevil on HFBOARDS claims to have heard the following ...: www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=93311"Here's what i heard, Director of player personnel..perezhogin will be in russia. cory locke will be in the ahl. kosts must be signed and is awesome and they want him in hamilton. says his shot is one of the hardest and best he has seen. and he believes no hockey this year.. 95% sure of it at this time. kovalev is not getting any bites worth while anywhere else and watch for him to be back. and dowd.
you know what i know.
sevil"take it for what it's worth!!! THF

It isn't worth much really. It more or less feeds on the emotions of fans. "Sevil" knows that virtually everyone wants Kovalev back at a resonible price, Dowd is a cheap solution to the 4th line centre hole, and Hamilton is a logical place for Kostitsyn to be (provided a contract is signed and a transfer fee paid). One wouldn't have to think to hard to come up with this and post it as "inside info".
I hope it's mostly true, and some of it may come to fruition, but it won't be because Sevil heard it will IMO.

Ditto .......nothing that shouldn't happen really with the exception of Kovalev, that will be up to Bo and I'm pretty sure any Kovalev deal is going to involve term as the deciding factor. If this all transpires I don't care who wants to take credit,as a fan it'll be all good. HFTO

Nothing far fetched. At worst, this is one fellow's reasonable prediction...

Unlike the absurd gossip we heard early last season that Koivu and Zednik were about to be traded. Or the more recent canard about Ribeiro for Smyth.

Nothing far fetched. At worst, this is one fellow's reasonable prediction... Pretty much fits with my predictions, actually. That's always the problem with "insiders" - when they really do have contacts then they'll rarely have anything juicy enough to prove that they're not just well-informed fans. And the insiders with the juicy stuff know that they should just shut up.
