If the NHL's Board of Governors ratifies the new CBA in New York today, the 2005-06 season will start this October. Watch Commissioner Bettman's press conference today at approximately 3 p.m. ET, followed by the NHL Draft Lottery at 4 p.m. ET. Both events will be streamed live on NHL.com. - www.nhl.com/

We'll draft higher than we would have normally—Crosby ou non.

NOOOOOOOOO . . . Top 5 anyway. I'm thinking that there should be a draft lottery every year!

A 3-ball winner . . . on the cheap. At least he's in the east so we see him live!
I wonder . . . Ribs and Breezy and the 5th pick for him?

There should be some good talent on the table at 5. Pouliot, Johnson, Ryan, Brule, Kopitar. One of those will likely be a Hab. I'm stoked - when was the last time we had a top 5 pick?

Kovalev signs with Crosby Pittsburgh—I'll bet a Nanaimo bar on it.

It's not over until it's over. If Crosby wants to play for the Hab's all he has to do is tell the manager that he will be HAPPIER if he was traded to the Hab's. If I was him, I would do it. What are they going to do? Not sign him?

What are they going to do? Not sign him? But considering the boatload of assets that Montreal would have to give Pittsburgh in a trade, would it be worth it for the Habs to do the deal? Look at what happened with Quebec/Colorado and Philadelphia in the Lindros trade. We all know who won that deal. Best bet would be to wait until he's 25 and sign him as a free agent.

Crosby is perfect for Pittsburg. The best thing to happen to that team in years. Mentored by Mario. Rookie salary cap for a poor team. Less pressure. Star in the making to draw fans back to the seats. The Pens will hang onto him, imo.

Unless of course he starts telling everyone about his DREAM TEAM.

I was hoping he'd end up in the west so we wouldn't have to face him as often (if he pans out) but oh well.

I sure hope that Crosby's first game at the Bell Centre is nationally televised.
