He only scored 14 goals last year in 67 games( projects to 17 in a full season). It's hard to tell if its the start of a decline or an anomaly. A year with Sundin should tell the tale.
He also signed for less than 2 million per season because he is from the area and wanted to play in Toronto.

Yes I agree & that's hard because it's the leafs. But we can't use his salary as a benchmark because of the circumstances. It seems like he really wanted to come home to play and was willing to take quite a salary cut. It also makes you think about the Hurricanes. Are they starting to tank already? Kevin Weekes is gone and they have traded O'Neill for a low pick. I see even more empty seats in Raleigh.
