From Spectors:
Here is some of his stats:

Season Team GP G A P 2000-01 PIT, 11 0 0 0 2000-01 EDM, 37 2 4 6 2001-02 PIT, 82 6 11 17 2002-03 PIT, 44 2 2 4 2002-03 NYR, 24 1 4 5 2003-04 NYR, 59 5 2 7
Might look good on a 4th line with Ward and Begin.

It's an interesting option, if Begin is to play centre. Dan would fit the definition of a fourth liner, and would be cheap. Something to consider.

Sure, if all six members of the third and fourth lines are simultaneously on the disabled list for two months.

If he doesn't sign somewhere soon, he'll be known as Dan LaClouture.

LaCouture couldnt even hold a roster spot on a near AHL calibre Pittsburgh team a few years ago which is why he was thrown into a deal to New York that was a pure cash drop. Then he can't hold a job with a poor Rangers squad either... I wouldn't have been opposed to signing him to a two way contract had we not already signed Ivanans, but I have real doubts about this guy being able to maintain an NHL job, I'd rather claim a goon in the waiver draft once hockey starts again, that worked out just fine last season.
