Forsberg was part of the original Lindros deal. They finally have him back.
Someone maybe able to pick up something at a cheap price if Clarke needs to get under the cap. Cost certainty hasn't slowed Philly down.

Cost certainty hasn't slowed Philly down. I think Forsberg's arrival could spell the end of Keith Primeau, or perhaps Alexei Zhamnov. Perhaps Bobby could panic and may want to give Simon Gagne to the Habs for our super sniper Pierre Dagenais? Hey, I can dream.

Wow, he gets less than Naslund and Iggy.

That's dissapointing. He's one of my favorite players, and I preferred watching him play in the other conference. Now I gotta hate him - at least the Leafs or Bruins didn't pick him up. He signed for less than Theodore is asking.

He signed for less than Theodore is asking. Not all players are greedy.

Philly is absolutely stacked for this coming season. On paper, they've already won the East.

If the NHL is serious about the "New NHL" and really does crack down on obstruction, Philly's slow Defense won't be able to get the puck out of their end against fast teams like Tampa Bay.

Perhaps Bob should consider offering Gagne an offer sheet (and hoping he signs it)? I don't know what the compensation levels are though but I think 2 million (which would be matched) would cost us a 2nd round pick

That's why they're rumoured to trade Roenick to the Kings in order to shed some salary.

What if all the teams refuse to trade with Philly ? They can't bring their salaries within the cap... What happen then?
