Dreams of a combo with Koivu notwithstanding, Selanne is odds on to sign again with Anaheim (that was before the Ducks' playoff run). He's been there, done that with Kariya, and enjoyed it.
He and his wife Sapira have a huge gated estate in northern California that they've just made major renos to. Plus he loves to tool up and down the coastline in one of the sportscars from a collection that rivals Reggie Jackson's.
After growing up in Finland and playing in Winnipeg, who can blame him? Besides Anaheim is hardly the worst team in the league to sign up with.
It's nice to dream, but no, the Finn stays in Cali, man. |
