A class act all the way. The most under-rated forward of his generation—by fans and media, not by other players or coaches and GMs. First ballot Hall of Famer.

I trust all the veterans who are retiring this month will thank Bob Goodenow for helping them sit out a year to get a better contract without a cap or linkage to revenue.

Most of them were already on their last leg before the lock-out. By the way, they can thank Goodenow for all their previous contract. Francis, Stevens, McInnis all got huge contracts in the post 1994 years. So, I think that they indeed thank Goodenow for their nice paychecks. Francis had a great career. He was a key member of two Stanley Cup teams and a great leader and as such deserves great respect. Obviously a futur Hall of Famer.

It's sad to see him and the other legends go, but it was a treat to see them play. The 2008 HOF selection commitee is going to have a hell of a time excluding one of MacInnis, Stevens, Messier or Francis.

Of the group I appreciate Stevens the most because I dislike Lindros the most . . . I'd have taken any of them on my team.
