Marozov and Kraft
Reading on many boards that Pittsburgh is looking to move these two players with the influx of new talent. IMO, these guys are on the cusp of breaking out. I know we have a lot of forwards and emerging prospects that we need to play, but it'll be a shame to let these two go. Both are big, highly skilled, good skaters and I think will be 50+ point men this year!
The question boils down to, is Marozov > our top 4 right wingers and is Kraft > then our top 4 centers.
Wish we could find a place for these..way too talented to be claimed by our division rivals!

The Leafs should make bids for them. They need some players on their farm team.

Neither player were too impressive (though not bad) in the old NHL but both are extremely gifted and it would be intriguing to find out exactely what they can do in the faster, more offensive, less clutching/grabbing league that the new NHL promises to be. I believe both these guys came in the NHL at a very young age so by all means they didn't hit their peak.
That being said, from a personnal stand point, I would not repalce any of our current top 6 guys with these projects.

Neither of these guys represents a clear upgrade on anyone the Habs have right now. I would prefer not to bring in questionable outside players right now because the priority for the Habs should be to bring in Perezhogin and Higgins.

They will undoubtedly be fighting for the spot not taken by Plekanec. ;D

Morozov may not be playing in the NHL this upcoming season: Aleksei Morozov (drafted by Pittsburgh Penguins in 1995, first round, 24th overall, played several season in the NHL performing well during attacks):
"Of course, I want to play more in the NHL. But I am bound by my one- year contract with "Ak Bars". The overseas agent is negotiating but it is unlikely that I will cross the Atlantic during this season".source: eng.bashvest.ru/showinf.php?id=1258R.

from what i understand morozov want to play in the NHL but not with Pittsburgh, he would choose Russia over return to Penguins. Another player the Penguins are having contract difficulity with is Ryan Malone. www.pittsburghpostgazette.com/pg/05236/558853.stm

A player on Pittsburgh that interests me and that might be on the block soon is Ryan Malone. He has size and a lot of offensive upside. Apparently he's a salary cap problem at this point and could be dealt.

Pittsburgh Penguins . . . salary cap problems.
A year ago who'd have put those two phrases in the same sentence without breaking out laughing?

They couldn't spend more than 22Mil before the lockout and now they're good for 39Mil? Sheesh... ...According to RDS, Milan Kraft is not coming back in the NHL next year.

Before if Pittsburgh spent 39 million it would have drove the other teams to spend 15 million dollars for players instead of the 10-11 jagr type contracts. They couldn't even engage in the bidding war without commiting suicide errr teamicide? The week Crosby was signed the team sold more season tickets than ever before. I have no source but I heard someone state 5000-6000 season tickets that week (my memory is not what it used to be, so if someone can correct me) were sold, and Pittsburgh now has most of their game tickets sold. Rumblings are that Mario is close to a getting a commitment on a new stadium. It's like the pro-cap proponents have been saying, if everyone is on the same level the money will be spent, because people will come out to see a competitive team and teams will be able to afford stars if there is no bidding war.
