I just read on TSN that Hull is going to announce his retirement tonight. Doesn't even sound like he is going to play out the season. www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=139857&hubname=That really screws my hockey pool - I like picking him, especially in the playoffs. He hadn't let me down too many times. But anyway, I am really surprised at this. After all of the comments he has made in the past about the problems in the game and how to improve it, one would think that he would really want to play this year.

He admitted that he didn't have what it takes to play in the new NHL.
He said at 41 he just didn't have it any more. That, and the one-year layoff hurt his game.
Great career, a bit of a bore at times, but at the same time, thanks for the entertainment.
Good luck.
Cheers.

Classy guy, outspoken and a straight shooter. The league will miss him. A Hullova player. Bobby, Dennis and Brett, as fine a family collection as there is!
