Grist for the mill.....
Hey.....the guy scores 4 goals per year for the Habs in his last 3 big $ years....
He goes to Colorado...he's already got 3 goals 2 assists....and projected for a plus-20 goal season....never attained that with the Habs.
Change of scenery? Change of heart (irregularity)?
Avalanche are 3-3-1...don't know how many key goals he was responsible for....(micro-tele-scope doesn't reach Colorado games)...but he's at least a +4.
Early yet....but.....are we a better team without this guy? I know I feel different watching Habs' games just knowing that he won't gaffe it up....(now Souray is bothering me that way)......thoughts?

Brisebois leaving has turned out very well for both him and the Habs in my oppinion, although I miss the pretty good shot he had (considering he's a righty). He definitely needed a change of scenary and he looked great on his goal tonight against Edmonton. It was a nothing goal though but he made a decent pass and headed toward the faceoff circle, putting it past Conklin (I believe). The pressure from the fans was just too much for him and he probably felt it. I wish him well in Colorado.
As for the question of whether or not we're a better team withou thim, I may answer that tomorrow morning, I should be off to bed as I have things to do tomorrow.

Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Brisebois gets away from the oppressive Montréal fan and media heat, and we get to see more of Komisarek and Streit (both of whom talented and much younger than Brisebois).

PB could score 30 goals and 80 assists and win the Norris Trophy and I'd still feel good he wasn't on our team anymore. Silly me, but I don't miss him in the least.
If Souray's head doesn't connect with his hands anytime soon, we can always play Streit in more than a 6th D role. The few games I've seen Souray play, he's been ok. He's made some gaffes, but then he's bodied some people away in dangerous situations too. Just have to coach him to play within limitations and put him in positions where he's likely to succeed rather than fail. His strong suit, hammering people out from in front of the net, has been taken away, so he'll have to learn how far he can go in that direction before taking a penalty and take it to that point. He's still one of the few guys on our team who can strike fear into some forward's heart.

He is proving what most of us thought. He didn't care to be in a Hab's uniform for anything other then for the money he was getting.
Dead and gone in my books....

I'd say he got his groove back- the change of scenery was a long time coming. Scored another nice goal tonight, he did.
