On the CBC pre-game show Saturday night Ron MacLean was talking with Neil Smith (former GM of the NY Rangers) and they went over all the deals that were on the table for Lindros at the time.
IIRC this is what the offers were. Please correct me if I have something wrong here. There were some draft picks that I can't recall:
NY Rangers Alexei Kovalev Tony Amonte Doug Weight James Patrick John Vanbiesbrouck Two First Round Draft Picks $12.5 mil
Chicago Ed Belfour Steve Larmer Steve Smith
Calgary Robert Reichel or Joe Nieuwendyk Al MacInnis or Gary Suter Mike Vernon
Toronto Felix Potvin Wendel Clark Craig Berube Dave Ellett
Requested from Detroit Sergei Fedorov Niklas Lidstrom Steve Chaisson
Actual deal with Philadelphia Peter Forsberg Mike Ricci Kerry Huffman Steve Duchesne Ron Hextall Chris Simon 2 First Round Draft Picks $15 mil

I see my offer of a lifetime supply of aspirin and a new agent didn't make the list.

Looking at it now, I would say that the Rangers had the best offer.

Smith said he's glad the NHL ruled in favour of the Flyers because they would have never won the Cup in '94 if that deal had gone through.

Didn't Montreal offer Patrick Roy, money, Brisebois and some other player? Thought I heard/read somewhere that Quebec wanted any deal with Montreal to include Schneider, Roy and Leclair ....

Lindros was traded when? 91? If so we would've traded the cup away for the most dominating (imo) player of the mid-90s. Definitely an interesting thing to think about anyway.
