It appears Keith Primeau may be out for the season. Here is a quote from Strachan
"It has now been one month since he was elbowed in the jaw by the infamous Alexander Perezhogin of the Montreal Canadiens and suffered another concussion"
What a cheap shot by a cheap journalist. First of all, Perezhogin did not elbow Primeau. Secondly, Strachan should quit perpetuating the myth that Perez is the second coming Marty McSorley and watch the guy play hockey.

Strachan has been given the most severe penalty possible. A life sentence to live out his remaining days as Al Strachan without possibility of parole.

Typical of this moron - he is too lazy to check his facts. He just writes off the top of his tiny little head.
And he wonders why he got booted of HNIC.

I remember the game and circumstances, but I don't recall the style of hit. Could someone refresh my memory?
I do remember Julien keeping Perezhogin on the bench after it, which many on this board called a smart move by the coach.
Regardless, I prefer the "hit" Brian Burke gave Strachan's TV career.

IIRC, Perezhogin nailed Primeau, while the latter was admiring his skates, with a Stevens-like shoulder to the melon. Jullien then nailed the kid to the bench for fear the Flyers would do some head-hunting.

He's a lazy rumor mongering reporter from the Toronto Sun He is also an award winning sports writer. Elmer Ferguson Memorial AwardHuge list. Only people missing from the lists were Ted Blackman, Jack Todd and of course Mr. Beaux-Eaux and I, although I'm not certain about Mr. Beaux-Eaux. National Newspaper Award (Sports Writing)Some people don't like him.

He would be banned as a HabsRus poseter, never mind as a "journalist".
It sad to see the unreadable low standards of journalism that papers are willing to pay for. Mind you, is it about proper journalism or is it about paper selling sensationalism and paying the one who create it?

Brian Burke even went after Glenn Healey, which was fantastic.
