Do you guys get ESPN2 up there?
US college hockey is great. The overall quality is better than Canadian junior with all the intensity and enthusiasm of college athletics.
Watched BC beat Jonathan Toews and North Dakota yesterday. End to end action, lots of chances. BC was great in transition. A good player to watch is BC freshman defenseman Brett Motherwell - he's about 5-11, 190 lbs, skates well and plays a smart offensive game. Not a huge kid but he's quite strong and not afraid to get his nose dirty. I don't know where he's rated by CSB but he's eligible for the 2006 draft. Not as polished as Ron Hainsey was at the same time (or as big) but I like to draft kids from good programs who have played in big games.
The championship game is Saturday at 7:00pm on ESPN. BC vs. Wisconsin.
