Trap coach for a trap team. Marrage in heaven for Lou... Glad Julien found a job. AV is next with the Canucks...

posted by Johnnymagic19 @tsn.ca Interesting to say the least... Ouch, that would be our luck. Anyway, good hire for the devils, Claude is a good coach and he deserves to be coaching in the NHL.

I'm happy for Julien and I'm sure he'll do a great job in New Jersey.

Well at least he isnt in Montreal. I don't agree with his coaching style and I hope NJ can cope with all that line juggling.

I'm happy for Julien and I'm sure he'll do a great job in New Jersey. Like he said. I'm very happy for CJ. What a run he gave us in 04, and it really was the perfect wave that sank his canoe. Rookie row, Theodump, hobbled heros...Good coach, good guy.

Good for CJ, he has been a winner at every other level and heck he made a winner out of a mediocre Habs team before the lockout. He ran into that Theo posse thing that really was his downfall. The ironic thing is that BG has helped most of them out of town or at least off the roster.
I still think that CJ was a solid coach, whose style should do well in Jersey...and BG gets his own guys in Montreal behind the bench, with the last piece being selected soon with Carbo's interviews this Friday.

Allways liked him. Although I am much happier with our staff as it stands now (plus the new assistant), I am happy to see Claude didn't remain out of work for very long. Good for him.

Lamoriello has been quite astute at picking good coaches. Hmmmm..what does that say about us for letting him go? Claude is a sharp guy. Saddled with some real humps in Montreal, specifically between the pipes. The team really turned its game around after BG started playing Huet consistently, same thing CJ did and got canned for. (More or less).

The way CJ handled Kovalev, then juggled lines every game, and then refused to put Kovalev on Koivu's line until it was almost too late (it was game 2 or 3 of the playoffs wasnt it/) .... Theo saved CJ's derrierre back in 2004, as far as i am concerned he should have been let go long ago. Turn about was fair play.
