Here's what i got from Spector's site
ANGRY CAPS DEFENCEMAN TO BECOME A FREE AGENT.
WASHINGTON POST: Jason LaCanfora reports longtime Capitals defenceman Calle Johansson has expressed anger with head coach Bruce Cassidy over his lack of playing time in the Caps-Tampa Bay Lightning series. Johansson, due for unrestricted free agent status this summer, said he will not re-sign with the Capitals and will test the UFA market. Johansson and GM George McPhee had agreed to a one-year extension which the blueliner planned on signing once the season was over, but Johansson believes his lack of playing time in the playoffs means the club doesn't want him to return. McPhee refused to comment and plans on meeting with Johansson later today to discuss the matter. LaCanfora reports Cassidy's relationship with some of his veterans wasn't good this season, while the coach cited Johansson's age and unwillingness to play a physical game as the reasons for benching the blueliner during their triple-overtime Game Six loss to the Lightning, which eliminated the Capitals from the playoffs.
Spector's Note: My thanks to "Mike" for sending this in. LaCanfora also points out that Johansson's fellow veteran, Ken Klee, is a UFA. If both guys depart via free agency, it'll further weaken an already shaky Capitals blueline. McPhee had best start mending fences, or else he'll have to go shopping for veteran defensive help in the off-season.
It would be a very good place for unloading Breezer,
They got a very thin defense, they got money
i could settle for a draft pick(2nd? 3rd?)
