Leafs take a 6-3 lead into the 3rd period against New Jersey....and lose 7-6 in a shootout. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys. Announcers blaming the reffing....ha! Pot....meet Kettle.
Gionta with all 3 third period goals.
Perhaps Aubin's bubble has burst.
Brodeur has sucked vs. the Leafs lately.
Paul Maurice said, jokingly, "Not too often you can say your goalie played as well as Marty Brodeur."

You know, luck is an important factor in a hockey season. Thru a season, every team goes thru a slump, or injury, etc.... and if you happen to play that team during that period of time as oppose to when they are hot, your chances are greatly improve.
Leafs seem to be lucky so far:
1- The sens are having a very slow start and the Leafs played the Sens twice already.
2- How many time can you say that Brodeur will give you 6 goals in ONE game ? It is very rare yet that is what the Leafs got yesterday......and they blew it !
I hope lady luck is on our side this year.....
