If Bo could make the numbers work would you give up Komi to get Aucoin as part of any deal. HFTO

If Bo could make the numbers work would you give up Komi to get Aucoin as part of any deal. HFTO Nope. Guys likes Aucoin, Bell, Lapointe and Barnaby were expected to do in Chicago what we'd like them to do here but all failed to make a strong impact. We'd be taking on a lot of salary while not getting much better. Aucoin isn't adapting well to the new NHL because, some say, he doesn't have exceptional skating and mobility.

Not so wild about Aucoin rumour 16 million dollar contract hads played miserably this year and is 33 or 34 Gainey wants him so bad should have signed him in the summer.

Getting Aucoin and his $4 million a year contract would be a panic move, imho. He was signed to anchor the Hawks defense and clearly is not doing the job. I doubt he would be better in Montreal. Too bad Seabrook is injured. I just can't see the team giving up Komisarek. I would be very surprised if the latter was dealt when you consider how few bona fide good young defensemen are in the Habs system.

Bob stated long ago that he's not giving up the farm for quick fixes. He's in it for the long haul, so should we!!

Bob stated long ago that he's not giving up the farm for quick fixes. He's in it for the long haul, so should we!! Bo traded/waved/lost Garon, Balej, Hainsey, Hossa, Beauchemin and Ward. Garon: Traded him for the good of his career. He wasn't going to play with Theo there; Balej: We got Kovy for 4 more years. No quick fix there. Haimsey: Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE thought he was a bust. Are you going back on your word?; Ward: How many 4th liners do we need? AHL scoring machine = 4th/5th liner. Hossa: We had written him off to. And he is not doing anything in NY as of late. He had his 5 games of glory and then... nothing. Sound familier?. Beauchemin: Yes it was a loss, but CB didn't keep him. I wish he was still here, but that damn rule... nothing Bob can do about that. At best he was a 5th D.

Haimsey: Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE thought he was a bust. Are you going back on your word? Not everyone. Ward: How many 4th liners do we need? AHL scoring machine = 4th/5th liner. Remind me again why we traded for Garth Murray? Beauchemin: Yes it was a loss, but CB didn't keep him. I wish he was still here, but that damn rule... nothing Bob can do about that. At best he was a 5th D. Who did they trade Beauchemin for? Some Federov guy, I think? Beauchemin was a mistake. The Habs for some unknown reason tried to send him to the AHL before the lockout began, and they mistakenly believed they had to send him through waivers first. They didn't. A couple of weeks later Columbus used a loophole, signed him to an AHL contract and accomplished what Gainey and the Habs couldn't do. Unless there is something we are missing, it appears Gainey and company lost an asset when they didn't have to. (As an aside, the Habs later used this same loophole to send both Ron Hainsey and Steve Begin to Hamilton last year - if Hainsey and Begin didn't have to go through waivers last year, why did Beauchemin?)

Who did they trade Beauchemin for? Some Federov guy, I think? I hope this is a tongue in cheek comment. This was strictly a salary dump by Anaheim and a statement about the declining value of Fedorov. ( 3 goals/16assists for Columbus in 25 games).

I think getting their veterans might make sense if we're trading guys like Zed, Ribs, Souray and/or Rivet, but not if we're dealing a guy like Komi.

Bo traded/waved/lost Garon, Balej, Hainsey, Hossa, Beauchemin and Ward. And gained Kovalev, Begin, Murray, Danis, Bonk, Huet, Francis Lemieux and Andre Benoit. Works for me.

Komo stepped up his game in front of the boss last night. I don't think that will go unnoticed. Let's hope that his personal tragedy and his inconsistent ice time are things of the past.
