The Times also suggests that Feaster has to consider how a trade might affect his ability to re-sign potential free agents such as Kubina, Grahame, Cory Sarich and Brad Richards, who has been linked to the Montreal Canadiens.
But I just don't see a trade happening between these two.

The only way a deal happens is if Theo goes the other way and then you have to wonder if T Bay would still let Grahame come this way.

HFTO I can't see them getting rid of Richards for any reason other than to free up salary. By that rationale, a deal for Theodore wouldn't make sense. I would think they'd wait until after the season and see if the league cap goes up before dealing him. |

To me it is still very odd that they think of trading Richards in order to keep Lecavalier... I'm not sure who I would choose between the two. They are two really good players, Lecavalier is a +9, where Richards is even. Lecavalier is a bit bigger too, which he knows how to use to his advantage. However Richards is by far a better defensive player when he wants to be. Tough call. I think I would have to go with Lecavalier. |

Between Richards and Lecavalier, I think Richards is the one TBay would rather keep. I just don't see how they could trade away their Conn Smythe winner.
Just a hunch, but I really see a Lecavalier for Theo trade being possible.

Either way the Habs get a true number one guy up front,though I still think they would need some security in goal.
