I've heard it through the grapevine that a Theodore to Philly is in the works...

Its always puzzled me that teams would trade within their conference. It probably won'y affect the Habs if such a deal went down this year, and it all depends on what you get back....but if Theo regained his form goaltending is one thing that could haunt you in future playoff matches. Then again maybe the Theo of a few years back is gone forever, hopefully thats not the case but the chance that he may thrive would deter me from dealing him in the east, unless the deal was over the top in our favour. Unfortunately Theo's stock is way down and thats probably not going to happen. HFTO

More reliable that your typical Internet guess work (MolsonMan, Ecklund, etc...) but definitely not first hand stuff. I'd say more Intriguing than reliable... but hey, even a blind nut can find a squirrel once in a while...

Its always puzzled me that teams would trade within their conference. Better in conference than in division (just what we'd need: Belfour retires, Theo goes to TO and catches fire and we see him 8 times a year. otoh, when it was a 6-team NHL trades were done all the time -- sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't.

I think it simply means that Theo will be going to Philly with the rest of the Habs to play the Flyers rather than to Hamilton for a few games in the AHL

I like the idea and it would make sense.
I checked on TSN and both of their goalies have a save % below .900 and they have a stronger team ahead of them.
But Theo is so bad right now (save % of .884) that Philly would probably want to unload big fat contract for Theo. Hatcher?
Let's be honest, Bob can't get anything decent for Theo but just by getting rid of the 14 millions remaining on Theo's contract make this team better for next year.
In other news, Yann Danis is going to the AHL all-star team.

But Theo is so bad right now (save % of .884) that Philly would probably want to unload big fat contract for Theo. Hatcher? Hatcher hey? Wasn't he remotely connected to the Dallas Stars in a distant past... mmmmmm... Theodore/Souray/Zednik For Esche/Hatcher/Brashear/ Not a spectular trade in terms of acquiring pure talent but one that would shakeup the team AND bring in some toughness, character and leadership... then Ribeiro for Witt... (Perno said they were interested no?) then Bulis for Lapointe (Hawks dump a guy they no longer want) then Bonk and Sundstrom for Poti (Rangers turn dead Czech player into gold don't they ?) then Streit to whoever wants him... (no really, whoever... anyone? anyone? Bueler?) Ryder - Koivu - Kovalev Kotsysin - Plekanec - Lapointe Brashear - Begin - Higgins Downey - Murray - Ivanans(Dandeneault) Markov - Hatcher Witt - Poti Rivet - Bouillon (Dandeneault) Esche / Huet I got it all figured out. Mixture of experience, true grit, rougness, finess, speed and a lot of character all over... Should I fax Bob you think ?

Now if you could get Handzus in a deal with Hatcher and Esche then I'd be intrigued. HFTO

I'd be looking for Handzus myself. Gagne for sure. LOL, wishful thinking. I'd be happy with Hatcher straight up.

I'd hope to get back a starter in net (Esche) along with a very useful player (Hatcher). Right now, with the way he's playing, we can't be expecting to get a solid player like Handzus or Gagné. We might be able to get a quality prospect though.
