www.sportsline.com/nhl/story/NHL_SC-RUMORThe Ottawa Sun says the Blue Jackets could be working on a three-way deal with Montreal and Tampa Bay. Columbus would send G Marc Denis to the Canadiens and would get C Brad Richards from the Lightning. Tampa Bay would get Montreal goalie Jose Theodore.

I would rather keep Richards. The hell with Denis.

That wasn't even an article from Sportsline... it was just speculation from a poster.
Personally I doubt there will be much action before the Olympics. No one wants to trade for a top calibre player and have him injured before he even tries on his new uniform.
In the meantime, we can just wait and speculate what might be coming down.

Erik Erlendson reported yesterday on rumours that have the Lightning trading forward Brad Richards for either Minnesota's Manny Fernandez or Montreal's Jose Theodore, claiming "neither can be taken seriously". Erlendson dismissed reports the Bolts cannot afford to re-sign Richards after forking out hefty long-term deals to Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis or that the club needs a goaltending upgrade. Erlendson cites the impending increase in the salary cap next season, and with Richards making $3 million this season, increasing his salary to $6.5 million isn't that much of a jump. As for the goaltending, he cites the improved performance of their tandem of John Grahame and Sean Burke, going "11-4-1 with a 1.71 goals against average and five shutouts before Monday's game against the Islanders."

There would have to be more players or draft picks involved. The way it's stated here, Columbus would get Richards for Denis, I don't think so.

Chris Stevenson wrote this in his column on Sunday. I read it on the way to the Flyers/Habs game.
Cheers.
