Talk abounds today in Toronto media around McCabe. The fact that he's not signed yet, and his camp a bit miffed that Kaberle was signed first...blah blah blah...he's a UFA in the summer.....leading some to believe he's on the market.
I wouldn't want him anywhere near a CH.....but it's interesting, eh? He was the greatest thing since sliced bread earlier in the year. Norris Trophy candidate some were saying. I think he was on the ice for all 5 Washington goals on Tuesday.
Maybe the Leafs are thinking to move him while his trade value is still high....to shore up some scoring. But they're going to need another good d-man in return. Perhaps they feel McCabe is worth a quality d-man and a scoring forward.
Who knows what goes on.......
Haven't heard a thing about the Habs....and that's the way I like it. If something is in the works, it's kept quiet. Then a Pierre Lacroix-esque move is made.

Well, Eklund missed the boat on this one. I was listening to a radio station hear in Kingston earlier this morning and "the coach" stated that McCabe recently turned down a 4-year, 16.5 million contract. I guess Kaberle makes slightly more than that and McCabe feels he's worth more based on his stats this year. I guess the colours aren't enough sometimes. Don't need him in Montreal thanks. Cheers.
