Zed has WAY more offensive upside than McCauley. I suppose I COULD be looking at Zed with rose colored glasses, but I think he brings more than Alyn.

Zednik is really streaky, but a great playoff performer.

If they want Sundstrom instead, they can take him. I don't think he's played in recent games.

A player like McCauley is not what this team needs right now. If Zed gets traded it should be for a defenceman or for a scoring winger. I would do the deal if it was Sundstrom for McCauley though.

The last time there was hockey(2004) McCaulay had 20 goals & I think he was a Selke finalist. But Zednik has woken up recently & I think he could fetch more.

Well, McCauly's name comes up at work every so often mainly by Buds fans who love citing Quinn's mistakes. They really want McCauly back in TO.

However, McCauly brings leadership in the Andrew Cassles mode. He's also worn letters on his jersey at one point or another.

I'd bring him in for Zed. It's not that I don't like Zed, don't get me wrong. But both of these guys would benefit from the move. SJ gets a winger to compliment Thorton and Gainey brings in a character player/leader.

Would I do it for Sunny? Again, a tough call. We're not doing all that bad with a guy like him in the pressbox anyway. Again, that would be a tough one but, I'd probably lean that way.
