According to Spectors, Bruins are shopping their pick and want to get a top 6 forward or top 4 dmen.
Zednik + our first for Bruins first ?
Would put in in the driver seat to pick Brassard...

If we got the number 5 pick, I'd think we could get more than Brassard. Would you pass up on Jonathan Toews? Phil Kessel? Peter Mueller? They all could be available at No. 5.

I'd think you'd have to give up Ryder or Souray plus a first for the Bruins to bite with a division rival. HFTO

The question is, would Zednik turn into a Hab-killer or would he continue his Bruin-killing?

We had the #5 pick last year, and we saw how that pick changed the fortunes of our organization. Draft picks are traditionally overvalued compared to proven players that made it to the NHL. This year the market is well below last years crop. We need a marquis young player, but unless there is somebody out there who is clearly better than Latendresse or head and shoulders above Locke or more skilled than both or our Kastitsyn's, I don't trade the farm for an unproven farmhand.

I feel this year draft is definitely not exciting which is why I wonder if a 30 goals scorer like Zednik (who wants out) would entice a team to trade a high pick so we can address an organizational weakness (I believe 8 of the first 10 picks are centermen...).
