Weird trade - Philly needs to consider rebuilding, and acquires an older D with a stacked contract....
I guess that's rebuilding in the new NHL - you build for right now, not for in 2 years.

York can play center. Perhaps Forsberg will be out a while, and York is filling in?

but NYI are in the middle of a playoff race and they are acting like they are out of it by dumping salaries. I mean, Zhitnik is their no.1 or no.2 dman and York should be their 2nd-line center (I haven't watched them so I'm making an assumption here) so I don't get it what's in it for them maybe there is something going on behind the scenes (a trade, perhaps) that will give some sense to these moves R.
