Well since Viper isn't here right now I'll throw one of his famous quotes in here...

Is it me or does it seems as though Brisebois can't skate backwards? Man...this guy blew a tire the other night and cost a goal. Same thing tonight. He also caughed up the puck on a couple of occasions. I think we should give him a Dykhuis and sit him. He has been playing poorly all year. Pathetic at 4 million. Hainsey played a decent game and Markov, Koivu and Zed were excellent. Theo wasn't too bad, but he let in a softy. Another bench minor for too many men. Audette was brutal...Again, misses an open side with 15 seconds to go...Is MT ever going to learn? I hope AS was watching tonight. cheers.

Brisebois needs to check his skates. He is falling on his a$$ way too often these days and the worst thing about it is...the Nucks were ready to be beaten on this night...if the Habs blew a 3-0 breakaway in the dying minutes with a 1 goal lead, I would assure you the other team would tie it...but it doesn't happen the other way around BTW, viper...2 assists for Bulis

Well I thought the first goal was a soft one, the 2nd goal Traverse lets the leagues leading goal scorer go in on Theo, as he didn't skate hard enough to get back into the play. He should have had that one all the way. BOO. The 3rd won was the 4 Millon dollar man with his 20 dollar skates. BOOOO. On the other hand, I have to say, Ribs and Audette both made very good plays in their own end, which was a surprise. But Audette couldn't score on an open net right now, boy oh boy is he struggling. I have no ideal what's wrong, but man is he snake bit. Great game for Markov, IMO was the best Hab tonight, with Koivu's line not far behind. Ribs didn't play bad, but besides the 1st line, there wasn't too much offence from any other lines.

AUDETTE! get this bum off the ice. How has he proved to be better than Czerkawski (had 4 points tonight for Hamilton)? They're both bums, but Mariusz couldn't possibly do any worse.
Yanic was brutal out there, too bad Dougie couldn't go.. When the announcer called out the lineup before the game, he said "Delete #38 Jan Bulis and #93 Doug Gilmour" Then he announced Dykhuis as the starting LW with Koivu and Zed. My brother and I almost lost it right there.
The Koivu line played a really good game. We had it in their zone for a LONG time when it was 1-0 for us... and all the momentum was in our favour. Until Allen scored that long, weak one fromt he blueline. That was the turning point right there. Had we been able to bury one and make it 2-0, it would've been a different story.
Traverse tried to throw about 3 hipchecks out there, thinking he was Rob Blake or something. Him and Breeze were pretty brutal.

This game was a perfect example of how far the Habs still have to go to be seen as equals to the elite teams. They just have to work too damned hard to score. We don't have a Bertuzzi or a Naslund to make up for a soft goal given up (goal 1) or defensive gaffes (goals 2 & 3). It's time for the management to PUBLICLY announce the worst of dirty words in Montreal: REBUILD..... This cycle of mediocrity has to end soon. Let's face the facts, the Habs are too small, soft, not talented enough to compete consistently. I'm even starting to doubt that a coaching change will change much at all. It is time to do whatever necessary to acquire skilled size. Yes, I agree that the prospects on the farm and other leagues are looking somewhat promising, but nowhere is any one of them considered a future TRUE superstar. One can never foretell exactly how a prospect will develop. One MAY unexpectedly exceed expectations. I'd rather A.S. try to get his hands on a "touted" future franchise player soon. And the only way I can see it happening is through the draft. I just can't fathom A.S. acquiring one via trades or free agency. Trade-wise, he just doesn't have they assets required to get a superstar. And the negatives still outweigh the positives for Montreal to attract impact FAs. I'm fed up of seeing the team constantly have to battle all season long just to squeak into the playoffs, then draft mid first round. It's nice to get solid prospects like a Hossa or a Higgins, but now's the time that I want to hear A.S. call out a Horton, or an Ovechkin. This is getting too frustrating. I hope that A.S. can pull it off, though I can't see how he will be able to do it.... without tanking it... Sorry for the rant..... or rather repeating what many others have already mentioned here.

JFM, I can tell you right now there is no way that is going to happen. The Habs are just too gutless to call for a rebuild when they are in the middle of a playoff race. The opportunity to tank a season was 2 years ago when Habs were worst in the league but MT did everything possible to win a few meaningless games in March/April so no Kovalchuk or Spezza or Chistov for us...... Anyhoo, you know what bugs me? for years people said the Habs did not have a number 1 d-man...well now we have one and his name is Markov. for years people said Habs do not have a 30 goal scorer...well we now have one and his name is Zednik So why aren't we winning more. The 1999-2000 team would have been a playoff team with Zed and Markov on it. Is it the system? coaching? the supporting cast not good enough? *bangs head on keyboard*
