I believe MT gave the players the day off that according to the Gazette. I am sure Markov is still sore after bring run into the boards but he should be ready for tomorrow's game.

Plus Hamilton doesn't play today, so he isn't missing anything. Markov should play, as he was most likely just given the day off. He seemed ok last night, but hopefully everything is ok.

Maybe they are calling up Hainsey to give Dorkhuis a little kick in the behind ;D
We do have 2 roster spots available.
But what RDS is saying... ''they are calling him up...maybe for precaution because Markov is a little banged up" seems to indicate they don't know yet.
But the other 2 times Hainsey joined the team as ''insurance''(In Boston and on the Western road trip) I never saw an announcement like that on their web site. So maybe Hainsey is up to act as the 7th D...

I would love to see Hainsey play over Dykhuis, and after scoring on Theo last night, maybe Therrien will give the rookie a chance.

Excellent! Now bring up Komisarek and Ward and send down Therrien and I'll have a very merry christmas.

Juneau's not seriously hurt. Neither is Markov. Petrov will be back early in the new year. It's all good. Now if only the blood will start flowing to Souray's wrist so that it heals up strong, we'll be in really good shape for the run to the deadline.

yeah hopefully come deadline time there's a team looking for a vet goalie in the west to propel them to the finals, then we send them hack for a hefty fee and we're set. this whole depth thing that savard did for us doesn't look so bad anymore, just if he filled that depth with the right type of players though... (donald audette and mariusz czerkawski are not depth players)

And the first 2 times when he was called up as ''insurance'' never did RDS run a story announcing he was with the team. Michel Bergeron on CKAC said Hainsey was ''called up'' as well so it looks he HAS been put on the roster and can play tomorrow in the place of Dykhuis. Oh yeah ;D

If Hainsey is called up and we have enough active bodies then it may be a simple case oof Savard not trusting Julien with his top prospects.
How in heck can anyone find out? One can only surmise and extrapolate from the actions rather then inside information.

HA, The Habs were planning to call up a 7th D for their long western road trip. I doubt it has anything to do with AS doubting Julien's coaching philosophy(sp?) with the crown jewels of the farm system.

If I was with Souray's wife, the blood wouldn't be flowing to my wrist either.
