and the team is winning !!!
Is it a coincidence that since the additions of Kilger and Mckay to the top 2 lines, the team is playing a lot better and is winning games ... Me thinks not !!!
Now what is needed is some size up the middle (even if it is for the 4th line).
The proof is in front of you Andre. The only smurf I want to see in the lineup is Petrov. No more Audette, Chow, Ribeiro in the lineup.
Definition of smurf: Small, one-dimensional, soft players. That's why Koivu and Gilmour and Dackell cannot be considered in that category.

Size up the middle is a good boost. We are seeing good results. But I remain steadfast on my opinion that our biggest problem is in the defense. We need a big defenseman. Every game I watch, the scenes on TV seem to be yelling at me....BIG D, BIG D...I hope I am not repeating myself in vain. AS ... For the love of Pete, do something!!!! And fire Therrien while you are at it. ;D

and we don't need a stud big left D
Don't laugh at me...but a nobody like Andy Sutton from ATL would be a decent solution to the problem

;D Sorry Marc...I had to. Try saying that 3 times fast! But seriously, I liked what I saw in Sutton a few weeks ago. Not afraid to deliver a hit or drop the gloves. He could do. But I doubt Atlanta would let him go...they are already weak on D.

I don't disagree with you.. However.. Who is the guy who signed Randy McKay and traded for Chad Kilger ? You have your answer. I would blame Michel Therrien for not being able to see the light towards Kilger and McKay before. If Savard has a chance to get players with size and talent, he'll definitly do it.. like Randy and Chad are the big proofs of it. However, it's not just about getting size.. you have to be able to get the right players first.. if it is possible (which isn't). And the wins recently are also big time due to the team concept that we have now and also the fact that everyone contributes.. ( Theodore anyone ?)

Dikembe can. He always gets called for goaltending.
Interesting factoid that may or may not be significant:
Our tallest and youngest center according to ESPN is Ribeiro, 6"1", 22 years old. Hard to believe?

Faceoff.com says Ribeiro is 6'1" 176 lbs. I don't know if they measured him with his skates on, if he's still a growing boy and the measurement is more recent, if his agent supplied the figures or who's lying (1" isn't a big difference), but he appears to be the tallest center we have. Things have certainly changed since we had Beliveau towering over everyone else in the league. Next press release will announce that Hudler grew to 6'2" and weighs 220 lbs. LOL
