I know this belongs on the prospect page, but I thought I would post this hear to cheer everyone up a little. www.uscho.com/recaps/20022003/m/12/06/bn-yu.phpTonight our '02 1st round pick Chirs Higgins, picked up his 1st career hattrick at the college level. Yale won 4-3, and is now 7-3 on the year, and ranked 15th Nationaly for the first time in a few years. On the season in 9 games, Higgins has 9 goals, 7 assists for 16 points. (9-7-16) thats a 1.78 points per game average. He will miss 2 games for the WJC tournament at the end of the month, as he plays for Team USA again.

How can you tell he's a Hab fan it's not like his father was excited at all at the draft lol i've never seen a more happy guy in a draft in a long time when they are not the actual player's. That was the coolest thing ever if Chris doesn't wear the CH on his chest with pride in the future i'll be totally stunned.
GHG
Please let THerrien and Green be gone by then ;D

Mark my words.
If he signs a contract next summer, we will see him in 2004-05 if no lockout
He is Perreault or Juneau's replacement down the middle IMO. By the sounds of it he could be a solid checking line center but with good offence. Like a Peca or a Mike Fisher.
Man we could look awesome down the middle if we can get that big center
Koivu Big center Higgins
With Zed, Hossa, Bulis, Balej, Milroy, Perezhogin and co on the wings

First liner I would think. He led the team in scoring last year as an 18 year old, with 4 goals 2 helpers in 7 games. I see him as a Juneau replacement, as he is a good 2 way player, that although is on the small side, doesn't shy away from phyiscal play, is a great skater, with good speed, plus decent instincts on offence. Also I really look forward to next year, cause I think he will sign over the summer, and would be in Hamilton. I would love to see a line of Ferland Higgins Milroy if they could get Ferland to play LW. Man that would be a great line.

But I don't think the Habs will have a checking line. Just 3 good lines that can score and play good 2 way hockey. Higgins could simply be playing on that 3rd unit of offense and kill penalties
Say....
Zednik-Koivu-Milroy(or a bigger body with hands) Hossa-Big center-Balej Bulis-Higggins-Milroy or Perezhogin(depending on if Milroy is on that top line)
4th line could have guys like Kilger and Ward on it
Nice young lineup!!! I can't wait!!
Plekanec and Ribeiro go in a deal for that big center.

Ferland will only be 19? no? he will still be in junior I think next year we may see the Plekanec-Balej, Higgins-Milroy and Himelfarb-Ryder duos in Hamilton if some of them sign with our organization

He wasn't drafted in '01. He could go back to the Q, but I doubt he would. Although I'm just guessing, I don't think the Q has much use for him, as he's playing very well, so he should get a shot in Hamilton, plus since we take over the team, we will need more bodies in Hamilton next year. Milroy, Michaud, Himelfarb, Ferland, Higgins, Archer, Larrivee, Shasby could all be added to Hamilton next year. Most of those guys could return as overagers, but I would be surprised if any did, except maybe Michaud, which would make a little bit of sense.
