Here's what they say on TSN:
McLaren and Lapointe for Tanguay and Skoula
Both teams will profit from this but Colorado would definatly have the best defensive corps in Hockey:
Blake Morris Foote Mclaren (Ouch) Devries Muir

how can Colorado take on Lapointe's contract? aren't they taped out financially?
Boy, that would be one hell of a defence...
And Boston doesn't too bad either in that deal.......

Interesting, same thing was said on Hot Stove last night - but I think Colorado needs to get more youth back ,they can't deal 2 kids for a youngish guy (still older than the 2 they give up though) and an oldie.
They have to get a 2nd rounder or something... after all, Lapointe's value can't be all that high, as an overpaid UFA-aged player.
Makes sense to see Skoula moved though, COL obviously got Morris to be their future PP QB, so they gyu who had that organisationnal role in the past is expendable.

Lapointe is something like 28-29... not that old.. and would add more toughness to a team that missed Ricci.. Simon.. Deadmarsh.. 's toughness on offense.

I agree...but you would think the Avs could get a potential star for Tanguay...like they did with all the guys they traded....
Deadmarsh goes for Blake
Rolston went for Bourque
Drury went for Morris
Tanguay should get more than Lapointe.

It peeves me off to see those cheapos in Boston transform there team into a contender. They proven they can win without McLaren and lapointe and will get better and cheaper. I can't help but think if they did spend the money the team they would have. If they get a goalie they will be right there. HFTO

Bah... the only thing Boston has won in the past 10 will be the only thing they win in the next 10 years - the lottery pick to draft Joe Thornton. The second Joe and Sergei are eligible for big contracts this team is going to have make a big decision - one that they won't be able to recoup from like they have so far (if they make the wrong one).
Marc.... Tanguay won't fetch a star because he isn't a star. He milked Sakic big-time in 2 years ago and hasn't done jack since - the league is onto him, he isn't worth nearly as much as the other guys to go are.

Was Rolston a star before they traded him? nope....same thing for Deadmarsh who played with Sakic alot(just like Tanguay)...seems like Lacroix is losing some of his touch...

I wouldn't call Deadmarsh and Rolston losing his touch, it's not like he gave them away, he got Bourque and Blake for them. Tanguay though, when he isn't scoring isn't doing much else, unlike Rolston and Deadmarsh. He's still got the talent, but I seriously question his desire.
