It may be good for him.
Last year, after being hurt by Varada for 5 games, he came back and played a great season.. let's hope it'll happen that way again.

Good point Habsolutely. Maybe he needs a little rest or maybe this is what has been bothering him all year?

So they called up Fichaud over Garon? I know it is Garon turn to start on Wednesday, but he's been playing very good (so far) so why not bring him up. Actually both goalies have been playing very good, as Fichaud hasn't lost yet. Ok I guess it makes sense, cause neither Garon or Fichaud would see any icetime against the Pens or Sens.

I'm hearing Michaud is going to get the call, presumably because it's just for a game or two and he's not going to see any action anyway (barring an injury that forces Hackett out mid-game).

FICHAUD not Michaud As for the Theo injury, well it gives us a look at Hack in 2 games and 2 nights(or other teams?) and like Habsolutely said, let's hope it has the same effect as the Varada hit ;D

Help me here. If we call up Garon does he have to clear waivers again when theo gets healthy?
this situation just confirms my view that we should keep hack as long as we can. Nothing wrong in my mind with paying $9 million to have the best goalie tandem in the league. my guess is most teams vying for the playoffs are paying their two goalies on average $6-7 million and their back up ain't no Hack.

Fichaud got the call because Garon would have to clear waivers again. I imagine Savard didn't enjoy taking that risk the first time and he probably doesn't want to do it ever again. Fichaud can probably get sent down again without problem, and if someone picks him, then so be it - its not as if the franchise really needs him.
