That team was a lot better than people give them credit for. They finished with a 102 points in an 80 game season. But I think a better benchmark is the longevity of the roster.
Four of the starting D are still in the league. Muller, Damphousse, Leclair are still productive players.
BTW, whatever happened to Gary Leeman?

Was there when they took that picture what a night can't remember the way back home I watched the game in a bar on Ste. Catherine St. then witnessed the disgrace in the streets after the game. I did remember the way back home, but then, I didn't have far to go! The parade that year was a real disappointment, not like '86! That was a parade! Must have been about 30 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, started drinking well before noon. I don't remember my way back home from that one.

Gary Leeman ended up playing in the German Leagues as did Paul Depietro and several others. Stephane Lebeau and his brother, Patrice, starred in the Swiss League around the same time. Quite the picture though. I wish we still had Brunet. Cheers
