Czerk the Jerk was a cancer in the locker room. He doiesn't fit our TEAM concept and we don't need his 5 goals and demoralizing attitude. Kvasha and Yashin are made for Czerkawski. Enjoy Islanders. Just wish Komisarek of Langdon was playing against them. Ryder and Ward will have to do. Asham is a nice guy, good attitude, short, limited talent, hits but doesn't hurt anyone. We have Bouillion for that.

Good for him. That's all he ever produced here. Montreal is at five wins, more important.

Czer was certainly a headscracher. But as I see it ,he was the wrong player on the wrong team.
A one dimentional player - goal scorer - is in fact; a role player, and as such, needs a supporting cast. We simply could not provide him players of the quality of Yashin and Kvasha. Given these players, Czer is in his niche, and will do what he does best - score goals from these players creativity.
Savard totally misread the contribution Mariuz would provide the Habs and gave up a player (Asham) that truely could have, and did fit the mold of the habs circa 2001/2.
Czer benefits from enforcers, Cairns and Godard. Just acknowledging their presence surely boosts his confidence.
I felt czer never played the same after Fedoruk leveled a forarm to his head and knocked him silly. No Hab retaliated on his behalf........the message Czer must have gotten is ...he's on his own.
The rest is history!!!
Can't blame Therrien totally, since Bulis and Zednick went on to career years - so why not Czer?
Was he a head case? Maybe, but I like to think of him as the wrong player on the wrong team.
