I'd just like to admit that I was totally wrong about Mark Messier's addition to the Mega-Stars team.
I've always admired his talent, desire and longevity...but I gained a whole new respect for him in the fact that he didn't go full-speed, all-out competitive. He played the way the game dictated.
In short, he could've embarrassed everybody and he didn't. Kudos.
The atmosphere was much lighter than the Oilers pre-game reports indicated. Those are what got me fired up...protective sentiment for the older Habs.
