Here is the opportunity for savard to set this ship right. If he were to let therrien go ,immediately , he could possibly salvage this season.put carbo in charge so that things could be shaken up in that dressing room. It would put a little fire into alineup that plays indifferent hockey. what the worse that could happen. they dont make the playoffs? hell there not going anywhere but down anyway. cmon savard ya got nothing to lose ,everything to gain.
Bobby rousseau is the number 15

While I agree that we need to get rid of Therrien ASAP. I don't think Carbo should coach, at least not yet. Carbo was a great player but he has 0 qualifications as a coach. I don't get people who suggest he take over. Based on what exactly, would you make a statement like that? If memory serves me right, he was a Defensive forward and will most likely have the team play the trap. We don't need another coach who'll make us play the trap. That system is very effective but not with the kind of players we have, if you're looking for any indications, look back to all the blown leads and lost points. We need to get rid of Therrien RIGHT NOW! only because if they do make it into the playoff it'll be really hard to get rid of him. The french media will be all over Savard for 'Firing the coach that got you to the playoff for the 1st time in 4 years' which is, of course, a load of crap but you know how the french media takes care of their own.

i don't mind us playing a bit of a trap. never thought i'd say that about the habs. but with theodore and a trap. we could become the best defensive team in the league. with our scoring depth a lot of 2-1 wins is better than what we've been getting the last 3 years.

what are you talking about man? We've had Theodore in nets all year and we've been playing the trap all year. Where did it get us? blown 3 goal leads and loses that should have never happened. Theodore is good but he's not gonna stop EVERYTHING every night. We need a more offensive minded coach behind the bench for a change.

The thing about the trap...
It's only effective when you have a big team, with big d-man...like Dallas and NJ.
When you have a smurf team, it doesn't work...the trap is all about getting teams to turn it over in the neutral zone or dump it in and hope your d-man can get it out quickly. The best way to create turnovers is by giving the other team no room.
