Holy crap...we must be a player or two over the limit? I mean, Zed-Gilmour-Petrov...Odjick-Perreault-Berezin...Bulis-Juneau-Dackell...Asham-Van Allen-Kilger-Lindsay and Hossa..add Landry and we have 15 forwards!!! and we have 8 d-man...someone had to be sent down! here's hoping it's Hossa if he is going to sit in the pressbox...better have him down in QC dominating.

I think Juneau might have been placed on IR, which makes room for Landry.. I certainly hope I'm wrong about that though, it would be devastating to lose Juneau and his defensive work at this stage.

Our nightmares are over. ......... Montreal (03/27/2002) Montreal Canadiens General Manager, André Savard, today announced that forward Éric Landry has been recalled from the AHL Québec Citadelles. Landry, 27, leads the Citadelles in scoring, and ranks 7th overall in the AHL with 71 points in 61 games this season (31 goals, 40 assists). He ranks second on the team with 123 penalty minutes. The Gatineau native was named the AHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 24, recording 9 points in three games (8 goals, one assist), including two game-winning goals. Landry, signed as a free agent on July 7, 2000, played in 51 games with the Canadiens last season. He registered 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) and 43 penalty minutes.

When you're still juggling with your lineup at this point in the season and need to call up a 27yr old AHLer to help your team, I think it's a pretty solid indication of how disoriented you are.
It's been like that all year anyway, centers turned into wingers, wingers turned into centers, left wing to the right, right wing to the left, dmen on their wrong side, dmen playing up front, players moving from the press box, to the ice, from Quebec to Montreal and vice versa. 37 players put on the HABS jersey so far this season, that numbers nears 50 ever since Savard took over 18 months ago. Way too much player movement on this team.

I agree Doc...how can you be a well oiled machine when you keep making changes to that machine? Look at Boston, all year they have had the same lineup...aside from calling up guys like Hilbert and Bonvie to replace injured guys...their core players have always been playing the same number of minutes and their lines are stable. We don't have that...

If I were Andre Savard I wouldn't just call up Landry. I would personally write his name on the lineup card for the game just to be sure. If Savard wants to help his coach he should stand next to him on the bench and help him count to five. We don't want another too many men penalties tonight. Savard should coach for one night to show Michel how it's done. Let Andre MT sit in the press box with the Black Aces to send him a message.

I sure hope MT doesn't put Berezin AND Odjick on his lineup card tonight!
