Have you ever seen a coach who didn't know who he had dressing for a game?? Well meet our wonderous Michel Therrien. Dressed Dackell but had named Asham in the lineup. Dackell has been sent to the dressing room for the night.

Hire Pat Burns or Michel Bergeron, have them run practice tomorrow and sign him through the end of the season only but bonus the s**t out of him  based on # of games and rounds in the playoffs.  See how he does with a big eye on Larry for next year.  Who knows, maybe one of them is better suited to be head coach with Larry as assistant.

By the way, did anybody catch what Dackell was yelling back towards the bench when he was heading towards the dressing room? I wonder if it was general "go get 'em guys" type encouragement, or if he had some choice words for Mr. Therrien?

At any rate, it looks like I jinxed poor Mr. Therrien with that "he looks like he is improving" theory. God help us if this game goes to overtime - Therrien will probably throw four (or five) defencemen out there at one time, to, you know, "protect the tie."

I'm not bringing Traverse up, that would be to unkind. But, the entire known universe knows about how YOU jinxed him. Now you wrote how The Simple Man improved and the crack in his a$$ in not showing as much, well, see what you did. If they lose it's YOUR fault. I'm not saying it COULD be your fault or LOOKS like your fault. Nope.

Have you any idea what kind of voodoo I have to go through to break the spell on TSM? DO YOU? How many trances I got to go through? How many candles I gotta light? What about virgins? Do you know how hard it is finding virgins for sacrifice in this day and age? DO YOU?

I'm not too sure I follow this here. Therrien submitted an incorrect lineup and as a result the player not listed had to return to the dressing room

I have to share Doc's concern here. I've never even heard of that in the NHL before. Whether he and Carbo aren't talking, or whatever the problem is, you just don't make those kinds of errors at this level. I'd associate that mistake with House Leagues around the city.

I can just see Dackell as coach, "... THERRIEN ... you're up. Get out there and show us how it's done!" What's worse would be seeing Therrien jump over the boards with a broom ... ooops! Sorry coach.

Err, wow, I guess would suffice. Cheers.

What they said on the Panther broadcast was that Dackell was going to be sitting and that Asham was scheduled to be in the lineup. For whatever reason Asham isn't back yet so we tried to insert Dackell but we still had Asham listed on our lineup card so in fact we are going with 11 forwards and 6 d-men all game.
No Asham...No Dackell...No Hossa

The Simple mans team is making the same mistakes in game 70 as they did in  game 1 or was that 5.
Too many men on the ice come on!,How many guys have come out of the penalty box after a PP only to get a break away! Lets play  a defensive game and allow 40 shots agfainst every freaking game come on!My head shaking so violently I can't continue.

Dear Michel;

Here is a simple five (5) step way to win more games.

Step one 1. Count to five. That's how many players you are allowed on the ice (in addition to your goaltender).

Step two 2. If your team has a penalty you are allowed fewer players on the ice (ask your assistants for help with step two, it can get complicated).

Step three 3. Ask your players to sign the roster themselves. That way they will know if they are supposed to dress for the game or not..

Step four 4. Instruct your players to score more goals than the opposition. Sometimes you have to outshoot the opposition to do that.

Step five 5. Don't stand behind the bench. Go up to the top row to get a better view of the game. Stay there between periods.

If you follow my advice the team will play better.
