www.tsn.ca/NHL/readstory.asp?Story_ID=2273533Montreal can't afford to have Gino running around settling personal vendettas with 10 games left, while in the middle of the playoff hunt. A five minute major could cost us a game. That's the least of my worries, however. What if one of the Panthers decides to follow suit and take a run at Theodore. Luongo was already lost for the season in a game against the Habs. Now one of our players is threatening their #2 goalie. It takes a real team player to put himself ahead of the team like that. If I were MT, Gino would be packing his bags for Quebec city this afternoon. Another thing about Gino's comments. Bill Lindsay also had words about Bure's lack of leadership and character. Odjick may as well have said the same things about Lindsay, cause everyone now knows how he feels. That can't be good for team chemistry.

I Agree.
Unless the Asham family is Jewish and they're sitting shiva this week, Arron should be back, no? I can picture Arron is a kippa, to tell you the truth, but I think it's a long shot.
Whether Asham is back or not, Gino's talk about aiming for Kidd's head is enough to warrant a trip to Quebec. I don't think it's enough to have MT or Gilmour (or Carbo) talk to him. Just send him down the river to cool off.
I don't even think we need Gino at all. Even without him or Reid Simpson in the lineup, nobody gooned it up on us that I can recall. We got pushed around here and there, but usually by big teams playing by the rules (something an enforcer can't really influence). I say leave him and keep Asham and Lindsay in the lineup when Audette comes back.

I think what Odjick said was great. I think it'll pump the team up. 1st of all, Kidd isn't even playing tonight and 2nd, Lindsey and Kidd BOTH back tracked on all the bad things they've said about Bure (personal things, not the hockey part of it) Odjick said he talked with Lindsey and that everything was alright there, I also heard a Lindsey interview right now and everything seems to be cool. Odjick is not stupid, he's not gonna cost the team anymore penalty minutes tonight than he does any other night, he already show relactance to fight this year and I don't think he'll be making exceptions...'specially not after getting suspended. He got everyone pumped up for this game and I think it's great. That's his role on the team and I think he's sort of a leader in his own way. I personally can't wait to get to the Molson Center tonight. This game is gonna be damn exciting to watch.

Agreed.
Actually, I thought it was time for him to leave even before this.... he's overpaid, too often injured, and tends to take things personally, and generally has way too big a mouth, especially in MTL. (back problems from sitting on the bench.... come on...... be quiet.... )
Asham, Ward, Lindsay, Quintal, Bélanger, we have enough other options for size up front rather than this moron...
He's also taken a number of bad penalties. A real power forward you'll be willing to stand some crap from, given all he brings, but Gino doesn't have much slack, and he's gone overboard already, IMO.
Just to check with the moderators - I am allowed to call Gino a moron, right ?

I agree, we are in the middle of the playoff race and all he is doing is thinking about revenge for some silly comments. What a jerk.Cut him loose now, he will cost us a game down the stretch IMO. JV, Asham will be back tonight in MTL...I dunno who will be sitting because MT has decided to reunite the worst trio in hockey, the Berezin-Perreault-Odjick line, and you have to think Lindsay-Van Allen-Kilger or Asham will be the 4th line. Hossa will be a scratch... But, Juneau is still not a sure case...if he is out, who knows what happens.

And let's not forget, the teams with the most fighting majors(teams like Florida) are among the worst in the league, Detroit, who is last in fighting majors, has the best record in the league. Goons are waaaaaay overated.

Confirmation via Team 990 earlier today..Kidd is infact NOT starting in goal. To which Odjick replied 'do you think he's safe on the bench?' that guy cracks me up hehe.

I heard a rumor that Petrov said he is going after a bounty on Peter Worrell. He is going to stand toe-to-toe with him on Bouillion's shoulders and slug it out. Typically if Odjick is limited to 6 mins. per game and only when the occasion warrants we should be OK. If we are ahead by a couple of goals I don't expect to see much of Odjick. If we are one goal behind even MT won't put him on to pot a goal. If we are getting banged around and need to shake things up, Odjick is as goon as anyone else we have. I don't think he wants a piece of Worrell either.

Wade Flaherty..didn't this guy beat us early last year when we played a back-to-back over a weekend with the Isles? that was probably his last NHL win ;D As for Odjick's comment, guy should retire and become a comedian...
