This could be the game of the year in the NHL.For many reasons...first of all, you have the Isles who DESPERATELY want to eliminate the Rangers, second reason the Isles were embarassed twice on home ice against the Rangers and the 3rd reason, it's the Theo Fleury-Roman Hamrlik rematch we have all been waiting for since Hamrlik hit Fleury at the end of the Canada-Czech game, which prompted Gretz to do that speech which was probably the turning point of the whole tourney ...also, it's the battle of NY and both teams are loaded with firepower... I heard Blackburn will get the start because Richter is still hurting...I feel sorry for Danny boy.. GO ISLES GO!

I gotta say man, this game is very entertaining but if anyone has a hacked sattelite system check out the problems the Devils are having with the Panthers at home...4 minute penalty to Florida and they score shorthanded and dominated the play for about 5 minutes after that with Marty forced to stand on his head (shades of Theodore). Some of the games tonight are pretty damn good. It's a good time to be a hockey fan.
And of course...GO ISLES!

I hope the Rangers keep throwing money at all their problems...maybe they'll run out of it eventually. Probably around the time they'll realize that money doesn't buy team chemistry...That thud you heard was the coffin closing on the Rangers. All that's left now is to cover it with ground.

Is the game over?
Hmm, let's see...think the Rangers would love to have their 1st rounder and Filip Novak back?? they could have drafted Ryan Whitney or Joni Pitkanen with that pick...the kind of help they need on d.
It's soooooooooo fun seeing them lose.I only feel sorry for Blackburn though, with such a terrible organization, he could become the next Trevor Kidd instead of the next Theodore or Roy.

I couldn't agree more man. You should have seen the look on his face when the Isles scored the go ahead goal. He just looked at the sky as if asking 'where the hell is my support'. I couldn't help but feel bad for the kid for a minute. Then they showed Lindros and Lowe and I was all happy again.

Thank god we don't have their payroll ;D It's like they have so much money, they don't even know what to do with anymore...so they just go out and buy a team, instead of developing their own players and THEN pay them the big bucks. 4-2 Isles the final...who got the empty netter? NJ won 3-1 over FLA...probably the 3rd goal in an empty netter...Langenbrunner with a goal and Nieuwendyk with 2 assists...what a trade for the Devils...good to see FLA compete hard with Carolina,Florida and Boston since we have faced them...we can't take a night off tomorrow!

A guy could almost feel sorry for Martin Rucinsky. Almost. I just caught the highlights and Marty actually threw himself and tried to block an Oleg Kvash slapshot late in the 3rd. Do you recall ever seeing that before? Unfortunately for Marty the shot changed direction off his skate and caught the far corner. The winning goal for the Isles and perhaps the last nail in the Rangers' coffin. Thanks Martin. It seems all it took for him to contribute to the Habs was to dress him differently.

Rucinsky's done more to help the Habs since Friday than he did in 7 years!
